Andréia and her husband lost their jobs during the pandemic and the food stamp will be essential for the family.

Cards are loaded with BRL 100 per month for a period of six months.

It may seem like a distant reality, but many families still feel the effects of the pandemic on their own skin, pocket and even belly. Unemployed and with nothing to put on the table, many do not know where to turn and, therefore, we must always be willing to help our neighbors. That’s why Ajudôu maintains the initiatives to make this intermediary between the big companies and the needy families of the cities supported by the ONG.

The association received the donation of 100 food voucher cards from the Vale Foundation to be distributed to 100 low-income families in the city of Naque, selected through the municipality’s Social Assistance Department. Each representative of the family environment received a card that is loaded with R$100 reais per month, during the period of six months.

During the pandemic, many fathers and mothers of families lost their jobs and still have not been able to get it back and stabilize themselves professionally, relying only on government benefits to support the family. One of these people is Andréia Ribeiro da Silva, she says that the food stamps will be essential for the family. “I am unemployed, my husband is also unemployed at the moment, so it will help a lot. Especially for children who still drink milk and wear diapers. So for my family, this help will be very rewarding,” she reports.

According to the mayor of Naque, Fernando Silva, the delivery of food stamps to families is of paramount importance, because, due to the pandemic, schools were closed and many children were left without the only meal of the day, which was made at lunch time. snack. “We have been working with social assistance to support these families and we see that the demand is really high. This food, through this partnership with Ajudôu, will provide a lot of improvement in the matter of food for families who are actually going through a moment of great difficulty”, he says.
