Ajudôu students stand out in volleyball and futsal tournament

The Olympic City Project aims to promote the development of children and adolescents in various aspects. Therefore, a tournament was held this Thursday (4th) in Boachá. The students from the city of Ipaba played volleyball and futsal against teams from the district and became champions in both modalities.

The women’s volleyball team won 2 sets to 1 and the men’s futsal team scored 14 against six goals from the opposing team. The Ajudôu teams were under the direction of the project’s teacher, Gleice Kelly, who evaluated the tournament as a form of socialization and learning. “They were very happy with the victory and also to put into practice what we teach weekly”, she says.

The Olympic City project offers volleyball and futsal classes, totally free of charge, collaborating with social development, providing leisure conditions and reducing school dropout rates.

The project benefits 240 children and adolescents, is developed by Associação Ajudôu, through the Federal Sports Incentive Law, from the Ministry of Sports, with sponsorship from Cenibra, support from Instituto Cenibra and City Halls of Ipaba and Pingo D’agua.
