Olympic City holds second round of tournament in Ipaba

The project plays a fundamental role in the development of the students served

The first round of the volleyball and futsal tournament in Ipaba (MG) was a success. The second round will be held on Saturday (21), at the José Bibiano Estanislau Gym, at 7:30 am.

The expectations of children and adolescents, served by the Olympic City project, are good. “That’s how I put everything I learn into practice, winning or losing, I know I’ll do my best”, said volleyball student Maria Eduarda, 14 years old.

“Everyone deserves to win, my expectation is that everyone can give their best. After I joined to train, I felt more willing and more confident participating in championships and exchanges in other cities”, says futsal student Alexandra Evelin, 17 years old.

The project is developed by Associação Ajudôu, sponsored by Cenibra and supported by Instituo Cenibra and City Halls of Ipaba and Pingo D’agua, serving children and adolescents aged between 07 and 17 years old, enrolled in the public school system in the municipalities. .

Ajudôu has received excellent feedback from participating students. Through sport, the Association has changed the lives of many children and adolescents. According to Maria Eduarda, the Olympic City made her develop a taste for the sport. “I would never have imagined having the opportunity to play volleyball and compete. It was very good in my life”.

“It’s been a really good experience, because games have their ups and downs, just like life. I like everything, especially making friends and having fun”, adds Alexandra.

Ajudôu is embraced by the community, and among its students, it found a great partner, Sidnei Júnior, 16 years old. He participates in classes and also helps with technical work. He donates 5 hours of his day to help guide and organize students. Sidnei was one of the outstanding students, for all his efforts, and received a kit from Cenibra, in an exchange program held in Pingo D’água.

“The project made it possible for me to learn more about the sport and to dedicate myself more to the physical warm-up, it helped me to get out of school evasion. Before, I used to spend a lot of time on the street and I don’t anymore, I spend my time on the project”, he concludes.

“The project is also an opportunity for entrepreneurs, suppliers, companies and volunteers. By adopting the program, the industries recognize that they have a fundamental role in the development of citizenship and in the formation of the character and values ​​of the children and adolescents who are the future of the country”, emphasizes the technical coordinator of the project, Marcio Oliveira Andrade.
