Document presents how the NGO impacted more than 10 thousand people in 14 cities in Minas Gerais.

In the last 3 years, Ajudôu has been improving its management and credibility to be able to impact even more the lives of children and adolescents through sport. As part of this process, the creation of the impact and transparency report has become a key part of actively communicating to the community and donors the results of donations and the work of our team..

The publication is a set of information and documents whose objective is to provide transparency to the actions carried out by the entity in the current year of 2020. It is possible to find out about the technical and pedagogical areas, management, communication, fundraising and humanitarian work.

The most challenging year in the history of Ajudôu

The year 2020 was very challenging for NGOs, for Ajudôu it was no different. The crisis made even clearer the importance of transparency practices to increase the trustworthiness of supporters in their work.

Classes for the social-sports projects had already started and the students were integrated into the classes. However, in March, when the (World Health Organization) Organização Mundial da Saúde (OMS) declared a worldwide pandemic, classes had to be paralyzed and we felt that our hands were tied to carry out the ONG’s main function: helping others.

Amid the calamity that has hit the whole world, we need to reinvent ourselves and look at people in another way. In such a difficult time for so many families, among unemployment, hunger, and the Covid-19 virus itself, we return our strength to help several families. Thanks to this, more than half a million reais were mobilized and we put food on the table of more than 8 thousand people.

“Since 1995, more than 30,000 children have been served and many jobs have been created in more than 40 cities in Minas Gerais and other states. We were coming from a growing number of territories and beneficiaries served, but this humanitarian and health tragedy, called Covid-19, got us in the right way. So we stop, analyze the context, and most importantly, HELP! In less than two weeks we reinvented ourselves. After all, if we couldn’t teach sports, we would help in another way!”, reported the Founder and Executive Director of Ajudôu, Júlio César Lana Jaques.
