In all, there are 18 projects present in 56 cities across the country.
The arrival of the Coronavirus pandemic, in 2020, completely changed the classes and project plans of Associação Ajudôu. Due to the state of calamity around the world, the projects had to be paralyzed with no return forecast, but inertia did not take over. Despite the interruption of classes, we direct our workforce to make donations to the families of students benefited by our projects.
During this period, the work of the Association went beyond the practice of sports. The humanitarian program Ajudôu Vs. Coronavirus, started in 2020, benefited more than 5,000 people in 14 cities in Minas Gerais. In 2021, it ceased to be a one-off action to become a continuous one, the new phase of the Ajudôu Vs. Coronavirus campaign was made possible through two promotion terms, signed with the Municipality of Timóteo.
Back to school
In mid-July of this year, with the possibility of classes returning, we started recruiting students and professionals for our projects. And in less than 5 months, we conquered the largest number of students, in a current year, in the history of Ajudôu. In all, we have 5,026 students, present in 42 cities in 4 states in Brazil: Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Pará and Bahia.
“This year was filled with many challenges and great achievements, as we were able to simultaneously serve more than 5,000 children and adolescents. In record time, we managed to assemble a team with more than 80 jobs to serve the 18 projects sponsored by 21 companies and encouraged via Federal and State Sports Laws”, reports the Founder and Executive Director of Ajudôu, Júlio César Lana Jaques.
Seal donate: management and trust certifications for Ajudôu
Before the end of the year, to close 2021 on a high note, Ajudôu received one of the highest management and trust certifications from Third Sector institutions in Brazil. This reflects directly on the institutional mission, as the Association currently helps more than 5,000 children in more than 40 cities, due to the commitment to resources and the donor.
“We obtained an important certification from Instituto Doar, the Selo Doar +, and the VOA/Ambev de Gestão e Confiança, which qualify us as an association suited to the highest standards of management, transparency, accountability, communication, accounting and finance, governance, cause and strategy”, says Júlio César Lana Jaques.
