Social Project sponsored by CEMIG, will benefit children and teenagers from 7 to 17 years old for 12 months.

Quality of life, discipline and transformation of the reality of children and adolescents are the main objectives of the Ajudôu Nadou project, carried out by the ONG Ajudôu. The project’s swimming lessons are scheduled to start this month (October) and will benefit 200 young people from Três Marias, aged between 7 and 17, over a period of one year.

Ajudôu is a Non-Governmental Organization, recognized for its public utility at the municipal and state levels. It was founded in 1995, in Timóteo-MG, and has already served more than 30 thousand children and adolescents with free judo and other sports classes. Currently, Ajudôu is in more than 40 cities in 4 Brazilian states.

“We are very happy and honored with this new partnership with the municipality of Três Marias. Our mission is to promote the inclusion of young people through sport and to reach another city is to have confirmation that our work is reaching and changing the lives of many people”, says the Founder and Executive Director of Ajudôu, Júlio César Lana Jaques.

Ajudôu Nadaou will bring a series of benefits to the municipality that go beyond sports classes, as, through the project, students strengthen their sense of community, increase their social circle and learn about volunteering. Therefore, the development of social sports projects across the country is of paramount importance, because when young people have contact with the concepts and virtues of Ajudôu, they have the possibility to form their character and seek a different future, otherwise they would have if you were on the streets.

“Our municipality has a natural aptitude for the sport of swimming. The partnership with Ajudôu is of fundamental importance for the development of this project and will change the lives of many children in our city. So, I believe in the know-how of Ajudôu Nadau, to transform the lives of children and adolescents, and promote the development of swimming as the number one sport in the city, giving talents the chance to achieve”, says the Municipal Secretary of Economic Development, Sport , Tourism and Culture, Roberto Carlos Rodrigues.
