Ajudôu Project organizes XXIII Judo Friendship Festival

Judokas from several Minas Gerais municipalities will be present at the XXIII Judo Friendship Festival, promoted by Ajudôu and by the De Peito Aberto association, which this year will be held on December 8, at the York José Martins Polyesports Gym, in Timóteo – MG.

Students from social sports projects developed by associations in Periquito, Naque, Belo Oriente, Antônio Dias, Dionísio, São José do Goiabal and Timóteo have already confirmed their presence. For the general coordinator of Ajudôu, Júlio César Lana Jaques, “the Festival aims to end with a flourish the activities promoted in 2018”.

“The objective of promoting an exchange between the students of the projects is to motivate them, giving them the opportunity to demonstrate in practice the techniques learned in class. All students will receive medals as a form of incentive”, emphasized the general coordinator.

Projeto Ajudôu was founded in 1995, with judo classes in the municipality of Timóteo. In 2002, the Association was created Ajudôu.org, during this period, it structured and specialized in projects promoted in partnership with the Associação De Peito Aberto, from Belo Horizonte, a national reference in the development of sports projects. As a result, its service has expanded, generating several jobs in more than 12 municipalities, and serving more than 1,500 children and adolescents a year. The projects are developed through the Federal and State Sports Incentive Laws and are sponsored by Cenibra, Arcelormittal, VLi, Materdei and D’Granel.
