Associação Ajudôu starts its eighth edition in five cities

The Ministry of Sports authorized the start of the Ajudôu VII Project in the cities of Periquito, Naque, Belo Oriente, Antônio Dias and Contagem. The project includes 500 children and adolescents from the public network with free judo lessons, 100 of which in each municipality.

According to the general coordinator Ajudôu, Júlio César Lana Jaques, “maintaining a job of this level requires a lot of responsibility and commitment to the institutions involved”. He also explains that every year projects are prepared and it is necessary to raise funds and be accountable to the Ministry of Sports and sponsors. “The work is a lot, but that’s what motivates us, because every year we prove that encouraging sports is an excellent mechanism for supplementing schooling”, he added.

“Providing access to sport for children and adolescents is to invest in human development in an assertive way. Sport is an instrument of social transformation that contributes to the formation of citizens’ personalities. For Instituto CENIBRA, partnerships like this consolidate the excellence of Nosso Olhar Social; a perspective that integrates and brings people together for a better world” evaluates Leida Hermsdorff Horst Gomes, Coordinator of Corporate Communications and Institutional Relations, also responsible for the CENIBRA Institute.

The Ajudôu Year VIII Project is developed by the Civil Society Organization – OSC, De Peito Aberto Incentivo a Cultura, Esporte e Lazer de Belo Horizonte, through the Federal Law to encourage Sport and is sponsored by Cenibra, Grupo Materdei and D’Granel.
